NICE!!! It is of the 80 series. Nice! Sharing it with my friends.

Oh and also, J. Walter Weatherman would love it too. He's got one. Don't know how to tag him in it.

oh i know about old j. walter. He is my doppelganger. There are at least 3 or 4 other people on here with 80's too. Not sure if you saw this earlier, but I posted a video of a trail drive i did in her this weekend.

Those Land Cruiser ads are great. One thing caught my eye though:

"You can drive it at top speeds on the highway."

LOL No. That was one of the main reasons that I went with a more modern Land Cruiser this last time around. I absolutely loved my old '77, but it wouldstruggle mightily at anything past 60 mph.

135-155 hp sure sounded like a lot more back then. I can't even imagine what the guys with FJ80's with the 3F do at altitude, especially armored up and all.

Haha! It was 'according' to those times I'd say...anything after 70 series was fine though.

But they were made fording you know. :D

Yeah, I guess that was the dark days in the US where there were still 55 mph speed limits on highways, so it was probably completely adequate at the time.

I missed it. Watching it now.

That video made it even miserable. August had many trips for me (Many including Nepal and Dubai) and I missed them all. I have no idea how but I just didn't go. :/ What I missed? Here's a pic from three weekends ago.

mine certainly wasn't a grand adventure, but it was fun, and beautiful, can't wait to go back.

I absolutely know that feel of friends going but you can't because that's what I've done all month. But, you have a better reason to stay home. Congratulations! Best wishes to you, your wife and child to make through all this safe and sound.

I know, right? It is pretty crazy to see how far we have come. Not only the power but the MPGs too...
